Heroine T-Shirt: Mary Shelley

Heroine \her-ə-wən\: a woman admired and emulated for her achievements and qualities

ThinkGeek.com has a new T-Shirt under their Heroine series. I had mentioned before the Marie Curie and Ada Lovelace T-Shirts, and this time around we have Mary Shelley.
Invention, it must be humbly admitted, does not consist in creating out of void, but out of chaos; the materials must, in the first place, be afforded; it can give form to dark, shapeless substances but cannot bring into being the substance itself.... Invention consists in the capacity of seizing on the capabilities of a subject and in the power of moulding and fashioning ideas suggested by it. - Mary Shelley

Mary Shelley (30 August 1797 – 1 February 1851) was a British writer best known for Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus.

You should go over to Wikipedia for more information on Mary Shelley, Marie Curie, and Ada Lovelace.

The shirt can be found on ThinkGeek.com
