Just got iComic for my iPhone which is a really neat little application to view either image files (jpg, png, or tif) or compressed zip or cbz archives.
I have a few comics I'm reading which are in .cbr format and iComic does not support. These files are no more than standard compressed files (rar for cbr files and zip for cbz files) and I'll you need to do to get a .cbr file converted to .cbz is to first uncompress the .cbr (you can rename to .rar to uncompress) and then just zip up the folder and rename to .cbz. To go from .cbz to .cbr just reverse the process by unzipping the archive and the compressing into rar format and then renaming the archive.
Why have the .cbr or .cbz extensions? One good reason would be to associate these files with a Comic reader application.

Using virtualenvwrapper to start processes and swap config files
I do my Django development work locally on OS X, so I have several different daemons installed on my machine. I used to keep Postgres, MySQL, lighttpd, memcached, and more set up to autostart and run continuously, but I didn't like the burden on performance (real or imagined). Also, I switch between projects frequently and I often need to switch config files based on the project I'm about to work on.
My solution is to use the end-user customization hooks that Doug Hellmann's excellent virtualenvwrapper provides. If you're not familiar with virtualenvwrapper, it makes it easy to manage your virtualenvs in one place and switch between them quickly and conveniently. Cheatcodes are used to pass options to KNOPPIX to help with getting it working on difficult hardware. You type them into the boot screen and press enter/return. The format is "kernel option option option …". Usually "knoppix" is the right selection for the "kernel". You can type more than one cheatcode before pressing enter. Also note that some options can take on values.

Superb Mini Server 1.5.2
Superb Mini Server (SMS) is a console based linux distribution, it comes with Webmin allowing it to be installed in headless.
SMS includes apache2, sendmail, postfix, spamassassin, clamav, squid, iptables, MailScanner, mysql, cups, and TorrentFlux to name a few. There is nothing mini about this server.
SMS is based on Slackware with a Native Installation CD and a Live CD. The Live CD was created using the linux-live scripts from Slax. The distributions is available in a Native Install CD (623 MB) and Live CD (340 MB).
Here's a short list of the features included in SMS 1.5.2
